Cynthia & Doug

This past October, we had the immense pleasure of hosting Cynthia and Doug's wedding at The Homestead 1854. Not only was it a beautiful celebration, but it also marked a special milestone for us as the new owners of this charming venue: Cynthia and Doug were our very first booking, and as friends, their celebration was even more meaningful.

Cynthia and Doug chose our exclusive three-day package, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the joy and romance of their wedding weekend. The festivities began on Friday night with the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. Only Cynthia and her bridesmaids stayed Friday night, filling The Homestead with laughter and excitement as they prepared for the big day.

Saturday began bright and early with hair, make-up, breakfast, and mimosas. Forgoing a first look, Doug arrived later in the day, and the two were kept separate until the ceremony. The bridal party took full advantage of the beautiful weather for photographs both inside the house and around the property.

Cynthia and Doug fully embraced fall for their wedding, incorporating hues of reds, oranges, and greens into the decor. The fall theme paired perfectly with their bar selections: the apple cider mule, red sangria, and blackberry lemonade were not only delicious but also perfectly complemented the theme. After dinner, Intune DJ kept the dancefloor packed. Guests also enjoyed the fire pit and s’more station.

Doug and Cynthia stayed in the Blissful Suite Saturday night after the evening wound down. Sunday morning, they enjoyed a private breakfast in the library allowing them to reflect on the day's events and savor the beginning of their new life together. It was a perfect ending to a weekend filled with love, joy, and cherished memories.

Cynthia and Doug's wedding was not just a celebration of their love but also a celebration of new beginnings—for them and for us. We look forward to helping create more magical moments for couples and their loved ones at The Homestead 1854. Here's to love, laughter, and happily ever after.
